Frank W. Hall for his wife, Ester Caroline, in 1899. While excavating the basement, he discovered a rich vein of gold. He never mined the vein and the shaft was hidden for many years until the Welch family uncovered the mine in February 2006. Seating: 40 guests Room rental fee: $200.00/two hours Hogue Room Mr. Hogue was a local gold miner and his picture in the room reflects back to the 1828 discovery of gold on the once former Cherokee Indian land. The "Gold Rush" began and the establishment of Dahlonega as a county seat. The room is dressed with wooden walls, rustic table and chairs, and the stone hearth fireplace. The room serves many functions from rehearsal dinners to private family gatherings. Seating: 60 guests Room rental fee: $400.00/ two hours Carriage Room The building once used by Col. Frank W. Hall to store his buggies was turned into a home for the Fry family when they lived here in the 1940's. The lower level of the house is used for a conference center and private parties. A stocked wet bar is available for an additional charge. Wireless internet capabilities and a projection screen included with room rental fee. Seating: 60-80 guests Room rental fee: $400.00/two hours Tanyard Room The Tanyard Branch once flowed from the town square to Yahoola Creek. The branch hosted many miners who came to Dahlonega to seek their fortune. Hundreds of pennyweights of gold was dug from the branch and taken to the Dahlonega Branch Mint to be coined. Seating: 144 guests Room rental fee: $500.00/two hours The room rental fee is due at the time of booking. For additional rental time; a $100.00 per hour room charge will be added. A final customer count is due two weeks prior to reservation and payment for that number is expected. To receive a 100% cancellation refund, a one month notification by phone must be made by party. White linen tablecloths and napkins (white, hunter green or black) included with room rental fee. Some rooms will not be available during black out date and holidays.
